On sale at IFF until 2024, this incredible material is a very close relative to Veramoss; however, while Veramoss is humid and dusty, Oceanol has a marine character. As it is powdery and very strong, we also offer it diluted to 10%.

Oceanol opens with a striking salinity reminiscent of sea spray drying on coastal rocks. Its iodine-rich seaweed character is perched on a fluffy, almost powdery texture. This is not the melon-fresh marine scent of the nineties; it's a darker, more mineral, authentic ocean aroma. There is also a beautiful orange blossom nuance, rarely mentioned, leaning towards orange crystals and coumarin. A real opportunity exists to appreciate this aspect.

Create modern chypres by using this material to add an airy freshness in place of heavy oakmoss. It acts as both a diffusive top note modifier and a lasting base fixative – a rare combination. Pair it with Veramoss for neo-chypre constructions or layer it under citrus notes for sparkling, salty vibrancy.

Oceanol has a fresh, salty marine character with iodine-rich seaweed nuances, a fluffy crystal texture, and a warm, mossy-woody finish.
