Product Information:

This is the sharp, dry top note of cedarwood; it's the pencil-shaving-like character you first perceive when you snap a cedar branch. It lacks the sweet, balsamic warmth of cedrol or cedryl acetate. This is cedar reduced to its lightest, driest essence.

Use it to add a sharp, woody dryness to leather notes, chypre, and masculine fougère fragrances. By balancing compositions without adding sweetness, it provides the uppermost fraction of cedarwood oil in an isolated, controllable form. Furthermore, it's an excellent starting point for creating custom cedar accords by blending it with richer cedarwood materials.

Cedrene Alpha has a clean, dry, transparent woody aroma reminiscent of fresh pencil shavings, with a light balsamic sweetness and subtle smoky-leathery undertones in its long-lasting drydown.

Fixative and woody base for masculine, leather, chypre, and fougère compositions; affordable cedarwood alternative.

IFRA 51: No restrictions for Category 4.
