Cedarwood Virginia has a clean, dry woody character and a distinctive "pencil shavings" signature, enriched with subtle balsamic sweetness and refined smoothness from the rectification process.

It imparts a woody base note, structural support, and a lasting dry cedar character to masculine and woody compositions.

Cedarwood Virginia Oil (from the cypress family) is the most versatile and important among various cedarwood oils (the others being Texas, Himalayan, and Atlas cedarwoods; the latter two belong to the pine family, not the cypress family).

It is an excellent extender for sandalwood oil, guaiacwood, and oud, and thanks to its refined and light scent, it can be used as a great base material to build an entire perfume.
