Akigala Extreme
Product Information:
Akigalawood is currently very popular at Givaudan. This molecule, obtained by recycling waste from patchouli production, has a peppery and woody profile, with a distinct patchouli-like scent as expected given its starting material. It contributes to both patchouli and pepper notes in perfumes such as Dark Rebel (2015) designed by Rodrigo Flores-Roux for Varvatos. It is also used blended with lavender and tonka in Tom Ford's Fougère d'Argent (2018) perfume, and is featured in Quentin Bisch's Purpose (2023) and Guidance (2023) perfumes for Amouage.
Akigala Extreme is Fraterworks' interpretation of the essence of Akigalawood, as a base composed of molecularly distilled patchouli of exceptional quality (and quantity) combined with notes of pepper and damp wood. You can use Akigala Extreme in place of patchouli or as an entirely new, earthy woody note.
Akigala Extreme offers a distinctive woody-peppery scent that creates a modern interpretation of traditional patchouli with its strong patchouli character and damp earthy undertones.
