It is abundantly present in Jean-Claude Ellena's Un Jardin Sur Le Nil perfume for Hermès, forming part of its green mango accord; it also appears in trace amounts in almost every modern commercial perfume.

When you need a blackcurrant scent, this is the base to turn to. Use at ratios up to 0.1% for subtlety, sparkle, and a hint of fruity allusion in your perfume's opening, or at higher concentrations for a more prominent blackcurrant note. 

Cassis Base 345B combines the green, fruity, and floral character of blackcurrant buds with the distinct freshness of boxwood.

It creates realistic blackcurrant notes and enriches fruit accords; it adds diffusion and depth to fine fragrances.
